Head of Keyboard & Music Co-ordinator Ref No: Teach 06/13
From September 2013, initially for one year, 0 .6 FTE
This is a new post for a talented pianist to join Bootham’s successful music department, teaching the piano to students across the full age range, and supporting the Director of Music. You will play a key role in the organisation and running of this vibrant department.
You should be able to enthuse students of all ages, have strong organisational and inter-personal skills and be able to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will be a good honours music graduate and will be prepared to contribute as required to maintain and build upon the excellent reputation of the department.
This post is open to both new and experienced professionals. Given the nature of the post, there is a certain amount of flexibility required for the numerous concerts and extra-curricular activities. There may an opportunity for the right candidate to supplement their hours with additional part-time work.

Musician in Residence Ref No: Admin 11/13
For one academic year from September 2013
We are looking for a musician in residence, for one year, to assist with the busy workload of our vibrant Music Department. The postholder will enrich the learning environment of the Music Department and the school, working with, and alongside, students of all ages, as a practicing musician.
As well as assisting with concert activity, you will provide approximately four hours of classroom support per week and four hours of activities per week as part of the co-curriculum. The candidate’s specialist area is open for discussion but you should be a pianist with choral experience and be educated to graduate level.
